GSC Bulk CSV Remover: Bulk URL Removal for Google Search Console
Manage multiple temporary URL removal requests with a free Chrome extension. Import CSV or TXT files, review URL safety checks and follow each batch through clear submission reports.
What is GSC Bulk CSV Remover?
GSC Bulk CSV Remover is a bulk URL removal tool for Google Search Console. It processes a reviewed list of URLs through the Search Console Removals interface, helping reduce repetitive manual entry when you need to manage many authorized temporary removal requests.
I built this project around a practical SEO workflow: importing URLs, checking eligibility, avoiding unnecessary repeat requests and keeping a record of outcomes. It is intended for SEO professionals, agencies, website owners and webmasters who already understand which URLs they want to hide from search.
Understand the result: Google’s Removals tool temporarily hides results for about six months. This extension does not delete pages, guarantee permanent deindexing or improve rankings. Google controls request processing. Read Google’s official removal guidance.
Features for a clearer removal workflow
CSV, TXT and pasted URLs
Upload a URL list or paste full URLs. One complete URL per line is the simplest format. Review imported entries before starting.
404 and 410 safety checks
The current build only attempts URLs with verified HTTP 404 or 410 responses. Live pages, redirects and unverifiable responses are skipped.
Duplicate and history review
Local history helps classify previous submissions and uncertain outcomes. Explicit duplicate responses from GSC are tracked separately.
Start, Stop and guarded Resume
Control the queue while keeping the original Search Console property available. Resume depends on the saved tab, property and request state.
Batch reports and exports
Review Confirmed, Skipped, Failed, Unverified and Pending outcomes. Filter reports and export selected records as CSV or TXT.
Free and open source
No subscription is required for the available features. The project source is published on GitHub under the MIT license.
How to bulk-submit URL removal requests
- Install the extension. Open the official Chrome Web Store listing, review the permissions and add it to Chrome. Pin the icon for easy access.
- Select the correct property. Sign in to Google Search Console with authorized access. Open the website property that owns the URLs, then go to Indexing → Removals.
- Import your list. Open the extension and upload CSV/TXT or paste complete URLs. Check the domain, protocol and paths before continuing.
- Review the analysis. Inspect new entries, previous submissions and URLs needing review. Start with a small test batch of one to three URLs.
- Start and monitor. Click Start only after reviewing the list. Keep Chrome and the original GSC tab open. Avoid changing properties or using removal dialogs while it runs.
- Verify and export. Review Reports and check requests in GSC. Export a record if needed. Investigate uncertain outcomes before retrying.
Example input
Replace these examples with URLs on a property you manage. These are formatting examples, not URLs to submit.
https://example.com/removed-page-one/ https://example.com/removed-page-two/
Confirmed is not the same as removed: the extension detected a matching request in GSC. Google may still show “Processing request.” Check Google’s status separately.
When to use it, and what to check first
Use this tool when you have a reviewed list of deleted URLs and a specific need to hide their Google Search results temporarily. A 404 report alone is not a reason to submit every URL. Decide whether temporary removal is necessary for each page.
- Only work with properties you own or are authorized to manage.
- Verify that selected pages should be removed. Browser status checks may differ from Googlebot’s responses.
- The 404/410-only rule is this extension’s safety policy. It is not a general requirement of Google’s Removals tool.
- Local history is not a complete scan of existing GSC requests and does not sync across devices or Chrome profiles.
- Stop cannot undo a request already sent. Reset clears the current batch and draft; it preserves historical submission records.
- Google interface changes, tab reloads or browser interruptions can affect automation. Review unverified outcomes in GSC before allowing a retry.
For a permanent outcome, address the original content and the appropriate indexing controls. Google documents options such as removing content, restricting access or using noindex where appropriate. Do not rely on robots.txt alone to remove an indexed page. Read Google Search Central’s permanent removal guidance.
Permissions and privacy
The extension uses access to Search Console, browser storage and destination websites for its workflow and HTTP checks. Chrome may show a broad website-access warning. Review the current permissions before installing.
URL drafts, settings, queues, progress and history are stored locally in the Chrome profile. Exported reports can contain sensitive URLs. Status checks contact destination websites, while removal requests are sent to Google through your signed-in Search Console session.
The project documentation states that the current code has no developer-operated upload endpoint, analytics or telemetry. This does not mean no network requests occur. Read the extension privacy policy for the detailed data flow.
Built and maintained by Toriqul Islam Tusher
I am Toriqul Islam Tusher, an SEO consultant and digital marketer from Rangpur, Bangladesh. This extension is one of my practical SEO automation projects. I maintain its public repository, documentation and release history so users can review how it works and report reproducible problems.
The documentation includes automated mock regression checks and limited live observations. These are not a guarantee that every GSC interface, property or safety scenario has been tested. Review the published test report and limitations before relying on it for a larger batch.
For support, include the extension version, browser version, error text and steps to reproduce. Redact private URLs and account information. You can also contact me or explore my digital marketing services.
Frequently asked questions
Is GSC Bulk CSV Remover free?
Yes. The available extension features are free to use without a subscription. Install it through the official Chrome Web Store listing.
Can I permanently remove URLs from Google?
No. The extension submits temporary removal requests. Permanent removal requires appropriate changes to the source content and indexing controls, following Google’s guidance.
Can I submit live pages or redirected URLs?
The current build skips them. It only attempts URLs with verified 404 or 410 responses. Check Reports to understand why a URL was skipped.
What if a request fails or becomes unverified?
Inspect the original GSC property before retrying. A request may already have reached Google even when the extension could not confirm it. Do not assume it is safe to submit again.
Does Reset erase history or cancel GSC requests?
No. Reset clears the current batch and input draft after stopping. It retains historical submission records and does not cancel requests already sent to Google.
Will this tool improve my SEO rankings?
There is no ranking promise. It helps manage temporary URL removal workflows. Removing URLs is not a substitute for technical SEO, useful content or a sound indexing strategy.
Is this an official Google extension?
No. GSC Bulk CSV Remover is an independent project by Tusher. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Google.
Ready to review your removal workflow?
Start with a small, verified URL list and check the result in Search Console before processing a larger batch.
